Bitter Cold

It’s after lunchtime here and the temps are struggling to make it to 30 degrees. But it’s January and it’s suppose to be cold here where I live.

I love winter. The colder the weather, the better I like it! For the last three days temps have been colder than they’ve been in awhile. But today, when I woke, temps were in the low 20’s; perfect weather for a walk in a nearby park.

There were only two other brave souls walking their dogs in the park when I arrived and by the time I made it around twice, I was the only one in the park!

The photo above the post is from one of the ponds in the park. I couldn’t believe the fountains, for the lack of a better word, were still on. A thick collar of ice rings its base.

The following two shots are courtesy of our upstairs bathroom window where ice crystals form on very cold days.

Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!!

Namaste
Chris
