The heat here is already oppressive and it's just after 9 a.m.! Temps will soar to over 100 today. Our lawn is as hard as a concrete slab and the last time we had rain is a dim memory and we are in dire need of more than a few sprinkles. I'm talking several days of steady rain.
If you're out and about in this blast furnace weather, please keep yourself hydrated and cool. Extreme heat is nothing, I repeat nothing, to fool with. It doesn't matter if you're in shape, out of shape or have no shape at all, this kind of heat will kill you!!
Stay cool. Relief, I've heard is on its way.
