Spontaneous Gifts

I just started reading New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Berg's new book, Tapestry of Fortunes.  One of her main characters, Cecilia Ross is a motivational speaker who encourages others to change their lives for the better. Why can't she take her own advice? Still reeling from the death of her best friend, and freshly aware of the need to live more fully now, Cece realizes that she has to make a move -- all the portentous signs seem to point in that direction. (from the book jacket blurb)

Early on Cece says, "I'm always telling everyone else to take advantage of spontaneous gifts that come along, often when you least expect them. In fact, that idea inspired one of my books, the one that emphasizes the worth of going out into the world and gathering up all the beautiful things that are given to you, if only you will ask."

What "spontaneous gifts" will you find as you make your way through your day?

Namaste
Chris
