A dear friend of mine has four grandchildren, two boys and two girls. Gracie, a true girly girl and the youngest, is a newly minted five-year-old.
On a recent visit to her grandmother, Gracie announced she wanted to make a "Love List." Puzzled, her grandmother asked what a "Love List" was.
"It's a list of people you love, Mimi," she promptly replied.
Out of the mouths of babes.
Tomorrow is Thankgiving Day. While we're being thankful and enjoying roast turkey with stuffing, pumpkin pie, and cranberry sauce, or whatever Thanksgiving fare you choose, why not add a "Love List." It doesn't have to be written down; just think of those you love, keeping them close to your heart, even if they are no longer with you or cannot make it home for the holidays.
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year. To the honest person it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow. Edward Sandford Martin, humorist, writer and editorWishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
Namaste
