If someone asked me what my favorite month of year was I would, hands down and without hesitating, say October. October is the epitomy of fall.
Trees, particuarly in the area where I live, are their most colorful. Farm markets are bursting with all kinds of pumpkins in more than just the ubiquitous orange. Mums are plentiful and colorful and it seems every year another color combination makes its debut. Scarecrows, crows, cornstalks and Halloween decorations begin to appear.
Garden centers are no different when it comes to celebrating or decorating for Fall. Garden centers have some great, inexpensive ideas on how to decorate your home or yard for Fall. But Reynolds Garden Shop located in Manahawkin, NJ did an outstanding job. So, without further adieu, here are a few photos I was able to catch while walking around.
For the life of me I cannot remember the name of this plant. It's called a speckled something.
I love pumpkins and I called these ghost pumpkins. For all I know that's what they're called.
These frogs were a hoot. As someone who practices yoga, I can readily associate with these guys except I think they do a much better lotus than I do.
I love geckos whether they're real or mere garden decorations. This one was resting on an old table hoping someone would take him home.
Of all the beautiful Fall vignettes at this garden center, the above was my favorite. Just looking at a statue of Buddha gives me a sense of calm and well-being.
The photo below is not from the garden center but in a back yard I passed while walking one glorious Sunday.
I hope you've enjoyed this little walk through the garden center. I know I did.
Wishing you all a great Fall.
Namaste

my favourite, of course, is the one with the Buddha. you definitely are a talented photographer.
This is my most favourite time of year too..I seem to come to life when the air cools and the colours deepen.
My mom works at a nursery...I love to wander around in there..it's such a feast for the eyes.
