The collective noun for a group of butterflies is a kaleidoscope; sometimes referred to as a swarm. When I think of a swarm, bees automatically come to mind.
This photograph was taken at the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls, where you will see all types and kinds of butterflies. Be careful walking through the conservatory as you might step on one of their residents!
